Out of the planar scions, all too often the Chaos-touched get overlooked. Which is odd, because out of all the planes it seems like the Maelstrom and other sources of Chaos would be the least cautious about spilling their influence all over the Material plane. Heck, there are entire types of Aeons dedicated to limiting just how often that happens! So this week let’s embrace a little Chaos.

CHAOS FEATS
Encounters between Proteans and natives to the Material plane could have quite literally any possible result, even in a spread of Chaos from the outsider to others. That is by no means the only way a Chaotic taint might spread, as areas of planar thinness, degrading works of powerful magic, Drift travel, and any number of other situations could serve as a point of Chaos. There are no rules as to who can take on this mote of Chaos, as rules themselves are antithetical to the planar energy they spring from. That said, a character who takes a Chaos feat takes a cumulative untyped -1 penalty per Celestial Feat to Charisma based checks to influence outsiders with the law subtype. In addition, a character with two or more Chaos feats gains the anarchic subtype. Creatures with this subtype are also damaged by spells that damage outsiders with the chaos subtype, and can be subjected to other outsider-specific effects. If a spell or ability that does something other than deal damage would not normally affect such a creature but does affect outsiders, it can affect a creature with the anarchic subtype, but that creature gains a bonus to its AC and saving throw against the effect equal to 4 – the number of Chaos feats it has (to a minimum bonus of +0).
ANARCHIC EYES (CHAOS)
Prerequisites: Embrace Chaos feat or Ganzi
You gain one or several additional visual organs, gaining a +2 bonus to visual perception checks. If you do not have low-light vision, you gain it. If you have low-light vision you gain darkvision with a range of 30 ft. If you have darkvision, increase the range by 30 ft. You can take this feat multiple times, and the bonus stack. If you have darkvision greater than 150 ft. as a result of taking this feat, you gain the See In Darkness ability.
APPENDAGE ADDITION (CHAOS)
Prerequisites: Embrace Chaos feat or Ganzi
You gain a long, dexterous, fully prehensile tail or similar appendage, such as a tentacle, arm, tongue, or more exotic anatomy. This appendage enables you to wield and hold an additional hands’ worth of weapons and equipment. While your appendage increases the number of items you can have at the ready, it doesn’t increase the number of attacks you can make during combat. You can take this feat multiple times, growing a new appendage each time.
CROWN OF LIES (CHAOS)
Prerequisites: Havoc Crown feat
Your control over your crown of sigils has grown, and you can use it as part of a feint action for a +2 bonus, including bluff checks made as part of an operative’s trick attack. You also gain the spell confusion, lesser as a spell-like ability a number of times per day equal to one third the number of Chaos feats you have, including this one (minimum 1), with Charisma as the key ability score.
EMBRACE CHAOS (CHAOS)
The power of Chaos has touched your life and you have chosen to welcome it. Your anatomy is altered in subtle, random ways that may be as simple as one eye being a different color than another, or as pronounced as horns or other features. These features might even change over time, seemingly at random. A number times a day equal to one third the number of Chaos feats you have, including this one (minimum 1) you may reroll any roll of a d20 and take the new result. You may not combine this with any other ability that allows a reroll of a d20, and must take the new result.
HAVOC CROWN (CHAOS)
Prerequisites: Embrace Chaos feat or Ganzi
An inscrutable set of mystic sigils floats above your head giving off dim light in a 10-foot radius, like a keketar protean. You may extinguish or reactivate this crown as a reaction, and change it to display anything from short messages, emoticons, expletives, or even art. The crown can be used to pass a secret messages with a successful Bluff check. You also gain the spell wardrobe change as a spell-like ability a number of times per day equal to the number of Chaos feats you have.
SCRAMBLED ANATOMY (CHAOS)
Prerequisites: Embrace Chaos feat or Ganzi
Your organs have drifted into a new configuration and/or you’ve grown redundant systems. This gives you a fortification ability. Your fortification gives you a 15% chance that a critical hit is treated as a normal attack, dealing normal damage and not applying any critical effect. You roll your fortification percentage chance before the critical hit’s damage is rolled. You can take this feat multiple times, increasing the fortification by an additional 15% each time. If you have a fortification ability from another source (such as a force field), your fortification stacks with that source (to a maximum of 100%).
VISCIOUS APPENDAGE (CHAOS)
Prerequisites: Embrace Chaos feat or Ganzi
One of your appendages can sprout claws, spines, boney plates, or some other offensive adaptation. You gain a special unarmed strike that deals lethal slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning damage (you can choose every time you use it), doesn’t count as archaic, and threatens squares. You gain a special version of the Weapon Specialization feat with this unarmed strike at 3rd level (or later, if you take this feat after 3rd level), allowing you to add 1–1/2 × your character level to your damage rolls for this unarmed strike (instead of just adding their character level, as usual).

As always, if you like this or any of the other content here on Solo Run Studio I would welcome a little of your support through Ko-fi. Until next time Starfinders!
