There are so many bizarre Sci-Fi elements in Starfinder, it is easy to overlook some of the weird, chaotic, fantasy stuff that is part of the setting as well. Pathfinder has the Worldwound and it’s aftermath to bring in the ever shifting horrors of the Abyss, but there isn’t really anything like that in Starfinder as yet. Plenty of other Sci-Fantasy settings play pretty heavily with the influence of Chaotic Evil from other dimensions, but as yet that hasn’t had much part in the published Paizo material.
That’s no reason the reach of the Abyss can’t play a part in your Starfinder game. Not only does the Drift offer no end of possible avenues to bring in Demons and their taint into your game, but strange stellar phenomenon, random cosmic events, and areas of magic gone out of control are all too easy to imagine scenarios that offer a chance to incorporate more demonic threats, influence, and corruption into play,
If that is element you are considering, even if just for your character, take a look at the updated 3.5 Abyssal Heritor feats (from Fiendish Codex 1) here.

ABYSSAL HERITOR FEATS
Since the dawn of time the Abyss has tried to reach out into the mortal plane and spread its corruption. These manifestations of demonic taint are modeled by Abysal Heritor feats. The taint could be from a triggering event, time spent within an area touched by Abyssal chaos, or even a manifestation of some demonic ancestry. Regardless of the source, the gifts of the Abyss come with an inherent chaos. This chaotic influence eventually effects the soul of those touched. A character with only one Abyssal Heritor feat can be of any alignment, but they become immediately chaotic (if they weren’t already) upon taking any further such feats. A character with multiple Abyssal Heritor feats cannot voluntarily change the chaotic aspect of their alignment, and if a magical effect somehow removes this chaotic element, they lose the benefit of all Abyssal Heritor feats until such time as their alignment is returned to chaotic.
Abyssal Heritor feats are not without cost. Each feat represents the warping power of the Abyss, and comes with some penalty on skills or other checks. These penalties are untyped and cumulative.
ABYSSAL INFLUENCE (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
Prerequisites: must have at least one Abyssal Heritor feat
You have gained a limited ability to inject more chaos into the world around you. For a number of times a day equal to half the number of Abyssal Heritor feats you possess, you may reroll a single die from a class ability that provides an additional die, such as Enovy’s expertise, Operative’s trick attack, etc. You must take the resulting roll, even if it is lower than the original.
Special: You no longer see the point in dissembling, when you can simply alter reality to suit you. You take a -2 penalty on Bluff checks.
CHAOS ARCANA (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
Prerequisites: must have at least one Abyssal Heritor feat
Chaos fuels your spell casting. For every two Abyssal Heritor feats you possess per day, you can spend a resolve point to regain a spent level 1 spell slot as a move action. At level 10 you can regain a level 2 spell slot instead. At level 20 you can regain a level 3 spell slot.
Special: Your mind is full of chaotic thoughts, making it hard to focus. You take a -2 penalty on Perception checks.
CLAWS OF THE BEAST (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
You develop demonic natural weapons and are always considered armed. You can deal 1d3 lethal damage with unarmed strikes and the attack doesn’t count as archaic. You also gain a unique weapon specialization with your natural weapons at 3rd level (if you take this feat after 3rd level you automatically gain this specialization), allowing you to add 1–1/2 × your character level to your damage rolls for your natural weapons (instead of just adding your character level, as usual).
Special: The claw, spikes, fangs, or other natural weapons you have grown make fine motor control a little more difficult. You take a -2 penalty on Sleight of Hand checks.
DEMONIC RESILIENCE (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
Prerequisites: must have at least one Abyssal Heritor feat
You skin thickens and toughens, and you gain random patches of scales. For every two Abyssal Heritor feats you possess you gain DR 1/Lawful, this DR is cumulative, stacks with any existing DR/Lawful you possess, and continues to improve as you gain more Abyssal Heritor feats.
Special: Your hardened dermis makes it more difficult to move with grace. You take a -2 penalty on Acrobatics checks.
EYES OF THE PIT (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
Your visual receptors faintly glow with an unholy light, granting you the ability to see into darkness. You gain darkvision equal to +10 feet for every Abyssal Heritor feat you possess, or if you already have darkvision, increases by +10 feet for every Abyssal Heritor feat you possess.
Special: It is difficult to hide your ties to the Abyss. You take a -2 penalty on Diplomacy checks.
KEEPER OF FORBIDDEN LORE (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
Prerequisites: must have at least a 13 Intelligence
You have learned to tap into demonic racial memory, gaining access to knowledge few mortals ever learn. You gain a +2 bonus to Mysticism for every Abyssal Heritor feats you possess.
Special: Access to the secrets of the Abyss has made you indifferent to mortal society. You take a -2 penalty on Culture checks.
OTHERWORLDLY COUNTENANCE (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
Prerequisites: must have at least a 15 Charisma
You are either stunningly beautiful or wretchedly hideous. Either way, your appearance can be terribly unsettling to others upon whom you focus your attentions. When you choose this feat you must decide whether you are beautiful or hideous, gaining a bonus equal to the number of Abyssal Heritor feats you have to either Diplomacy (beautiful) or Intimidate (hideous), respectively.
As a full round action you can attempt to distract a target within 30 feet by focusing your attention upon it. This is a sight based mind affecting supernatural effect. The target must make a Will save (DC 10 + 1 / 2 your character level + your Charisma modifier). Failure means the target is either fascinated (if you are beautiful) or shaken (if you are hideous) for as long as you remain in line of sight. You can affect a specific creature in this manner only once per day. This ability is usable a number of times per day equal to the number of Abyssal Heritor feats you possess.
Special: Beautiful or hideous, you are striking. You take a -2 penalty to Disguise checks.
PRECOGNATIVE VISIONS (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
Prerequisites: must have at least a 13 Wisdom, and at least one other Abyssal Heritor feat
You have been gifted with special insight into the chaotic nature of the future, gaining glimpses into possible events to come. You gain a number of floating +1 insight bonuses equal to one half the number of Abyssal Heritor feats you possess (minmum 1). The bonuses do not stack, last 24 hours, and you must reassign them at the start of each day. You can assign a bonus to any of the following:
Energy Armor Class
Kinetic Armor Class
Initiative
Fortitude, Will, or Reflex saves
Checks made with a skill of your choice
Special: The visions come and go at random, leaving you constantly distracted. You take a -2 penalty on Perception checks.
PRIMORDIAL SCION (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
Prerequisites: chaotic alignment, and at least one other Abyssal Heritor feat
You have the favor of the Abyss. All of your attacks are chaotic-aligned, as though affected by the anarchic fusion. In addition, attacks you make against lawful outsiders deal an extra 1d6 damage. This damage increases by a d6 for every four Abyssal Heritor feats you possess.
Special: Faint whispers of the Abyss that only you can hear haunt you. You take a -2 penalty on Sense Motive checks.
WINGS OF CHAOS (ABYSSAL HERITOR)
Shadowy bat wings sprout from your body. You add +10 feet to your existing fly speed for every two Abyssal Heritor feats you possess, or if you do not possess a fly speed, gain one equal to 20 feet plus 10 feet for every Abyssal Heritor feat you possess, with a maneuverability of good.
Special: The wings make some movement more complicated. You take a -2 penalty on Athletics checks.
As always, if you like this post or any of my others, consider sending some coffee money my way. Until next time Starfinders!
