When the Pact Worlds book presented the Star Knight archetype and the various Hellknight orders associated with it, I noticed one was missing. Perhaps because two of the gods associated with it are no longer significant to the setting? Whatever the reason, it’s time for the Order of the Godclaw to return!
The original Order was composed of 5 lawful deities that exemplified order – Abadar, Asmodeus, Iomedae, Iori, and Torag. With the loss of Torag and the fate of Iori uncertain, I propose the new Godclaw to be the pantheon of Abadar, Asmodeus, Damoritosh, Iomedae, and Talavet. More warlike than the previous incarnation, but leaves room for good, neutral, and evil followers of their strict tenants.
Star Knight Order Specific Alternate 6th-level Class Feature
Touch of the Godclaw (Su) – 6th Level
A Hellknight of the Order of the Godclaw can choose the touch of the Godclaw alternate class feature. As a standard action you can apply the axiomatic weapon fusion to any weapon you wield. You can use this ability once per day, plus on additional time per day at 9th level and every 3 levels thereafter. The weapon fusion remains active until the weapon becomes unattended or is wielded by another creature, or until you take a 10-minute rest to regain Stamina Points. This weapon fusion does not count toward the maximum number of levels of weapon fusions a weapon can have at once.
Star Knight Order Specific Alternate 12th-level Class Feature
Grasp of the Godclaw (Su) – 12th Level
Hellknights of the Order of the Godclaw can choose the grasp of the Godclaw alternate class feature. As a standard action you recite a mantra of the Godclaw. Every lawful creature that can hear you is cured of all mind affecting conditions from a source less than your total level. This is a mind-affecting, sense-dependent effect. You can use this ability once per day, plus one additional time per day at 18th level.
For Signifiers, the archetype pairs well with the Devastator and Overlord mystic connections.
