Voltron: Legendary Defender

Voltron

Unlike a lot of cartoons, it doesn’t take a lot to adapt the new Voltron cartoon to Starfinder. You already have a solid science fantasy setting with high technology and space magic, starship fights and super weapons. The lions of Voltron are high level magi-tech fighter-craft that can combine into one incredibly powerful spaceship with the paladins taking the different stations in starship combat (with the head pilot serving as captain). The bayards are magical adaptive weapons, able to take on the function of any weapon in the level range of the paladin that wields it. Drift travel is replaced with wormhole travel via Teledav or similar device. Quintessence is essentially magic.

Solarians are a little bit of an odd fit, but I’ll be touching on them and the Blade of Marmora next week. This week, an adaptation of one of the major races of the setting, the Alteans.

ALTEAN
Racial Traits

Ability Adjustments: +2 Cha, -2 Str
Hitpoints: 5

Size and Type: Alteans are Medium humanoids with the altean and shapechanger subtypes
Altean Adaptation: as a full round action an Altean can alter their form to take on the traits of another humanoid race. They gain a +10 racial bonus to disguise checks to appear as that type of humanoid, and a +2 racial bonus to any physical stat (Str, Dex, or Con) as seems appropriate for the chosen race. They may also gain any one of the following abilities so long as the race they are attempting to emulate has the ability – Amphibious, Blindsight (scent), Darkvision 60ft., Climb 30ft., Low-light Vision, or Swim 30ft. They can alter their size to some degree as well, but remain medium. This change remains until the Altean chooses to dismiss it.
